Dr Ivona Bialas

I am a Specialist Psychiatrist, which means I am a medical doctor with special training in developmental and mental health problems.  I have additional expertise with children, young people, and families.

Qualified as a medical doctor in Ireland over 20 years ago, I trained in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the South London and Maudsley NHS Trust and at the Tavistock Clinic in London. I am a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and have a CCST (Certificate of Completed Specialist Training) in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in the U.K. Over the years, I have trained in various Individual and family therapeutic approaches. I am up to date through Continuous Professional Development and annual Appraisal.

I offer a specialist medical opinion on what the diagnosis is and the types of treatment available. I can also offer brief treatment interventions such as individual therapy or family work. Treatment may include prescribed medication.
