Dr Iyas Assalman

Dr Iyas Assalman is an experienced consultant psychiatrist based in London. He currently sees patients at 55 Harley Street and also sees patients at the NHS. He has over 15 years of clinical experience working both privately and in the NHS. He is a GMC registered specialist in the fields of general adult psychiatry and liaison psychiatry. Dr Assalman is an honorary clinical senior lecturer.

Dr Assalman is passionate about providing individualized and evidence-based care. Dr Assalman gained his medical degree (MD) from Damascus University in 2001 before moving to the UK to pursue his specialist training. Dr Assalman completed his core psychiatry training in 2009 and became a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsyc) in 2008.

He had further higher training in General Adult Psychiatry before receiving his CCT (certificate of completion of training) in General Adult Psychiatry with endorsement in Liaison Psychiatry and Substance Misuse Psychiatry. He has been in a consultant position since 2014. Dr Assalman received his certificate in Learning and Teaching (CILT) from Queen Mary, University of London, and his clinical certificate in psychopharmacology from the British Association of Psychopharmacology in 2012.
