Dr Triveni Joshi is a leading consultant psychiatrist in London who specialises in child and adolescent psychiatry. She has over 17 years worth of experience in psychiatry and over 14 years working with children and their families. Her areas of expertise include autism, mood disorders, behavioural problems, anxiety, ADHD and OCD.
Dr Joshi graduated from the University of Mysore, India in 1998 with her degree in medicine and obtained her membership of the Royal college of Psychiatry in 2006. In addition to her specialist training in child and adolescent psychiatry, Dr Joshi holds diplomas in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), a certificate in Dialectic-Behavioural Therapy (DBT). She is also trained in 3Di and ADOS Autism Assessments.
Dr Joshi has extensive experience working in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and in children’s services. She has both clinical and service development experience in areas of community-based CAMHS and CAMHS intellectual disability services, specialist ASC schools and tier 4 service inpatient units.
In her previous leadership role as the Clinical Director of Cambian Group, Dr Joshi played a pivotal part in developing the evidence-based clinical model for their children’s services.
Dr Joshi finds it very rewarding to help children overcome mental health difficulties. Her goal is to work as a team with parents to provide them with the right knowledge and tools to support their child. She loves to work with children and she believes that early intervention is one of the best ways to manage long-term mental health problems successfully.
